Biography for Francesca W. Taylor: Francesca Taylor was born in March 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas. Her father passed away before her second birthday, and her mother worked government jobs to support her family. By age 3, Francesca s four older siblings had already begun teaching her how to read and write. She started writing poetry at 8, and often won awards in school for creative writing and oration. She graduated as class valedictorian of her high school, and attended Texas Christian University on an academic scholarship. She graduated from TCU with honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism and Psychology. A few years later, her mother died suddenly, and she gave up pursuing a career in writing to focus on supporting herself through various jobs. She slowly began to write poetry again, following the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. Her first two poems, Time to Heal and Tuesday Morning, were published in books dedicated to the victims of that day s events. Her first complete book of poetry, Pieces of Me, is a compilation of poems authored between 2001 and 2008, and deals with subjects based on her life from childhood to the present. Cook ground chicken and ground turkey thoroughly with one teaspoon of salt, chopped onion and the chili powder, and sit aside to marinate. (Chicken and turkey do not leave as much grease as beef & pork after cooking; however, it’s the discretion to drain off all or none of the residual oil. It’s a good idea to keep at least one tablespoon of the natural juices & fat to avoid meat from getting dry and bland. )
