Holiday Delights (Squirrel Dung)

These mouthwatering chocolates are best cold. They are considered addictive in my house and reserved for the end of year holidays as gifts or just for fun. The original name was to help make the kids laugh when they helped make them.

11 oz package of Butterscotch Morsels
10 oz package of Dark Chocolate Morsels
11.50 oz package Milk Chocolate Morsels
 18 oz package Semi-Sweet Morsels
16 oz jar of Unsalted Dry Roasted Peanuts
5 oz can of La Choy Chow Mein Noodles

Get out two cookie pans and cover each with a sheet of wax paper

In a double boiler, add all the morsels and melt. I typically keep the temperature at medium to not run out of water or spit all over the stove top.

When melted us a large spoon or wooden spoon to stir smooth before removing from the heat.

Once smooth, add all peanuts and chow mein noodles and stir until coated. You want the chunks visible.

Drop by a tablespoon or teaspoon onto the wax paper. I use the back of a second spoon to push off the scooping spoon. The size of your treats is your choice. When you have filled a cookie sheet up without overlapping, then place in cold area (outside or refrigerator) to set

Once set transfer to gift bags or ziplocks for storage.

Please note it is important to taste them to make certain they are safe to give. Enjoy!
